Hello, I’m Joan Morrison
National Account Manager, ESN
The one constant that will never change is the reality that things can and will go wrong occasionally. We are your constant advocate throughout the event cycle. Our preferred status with all of the major hotel chains allow you to receive pre-negotiated terms that allow a heightened focus on the additional issues unique to your event. The end result is reducing risk while saving you time. And thanks to the collective data and knowledge secured by contracting over four million room nights annually, you can be confident you are receiving the optimum combination of rates, concessions, and terms every time.
“As an all-volunteer organization of nearly 400 members strong, Joan’s expertise and willingness to match the Women’s Industry Network’s (WIN) conference needs with appropriate locations is beyond measure. Joan goes above and beyond to accomplish our meeting goals and understands not only the content needs but the personality of the attendee. Just this year, the Women’s Industry Network (WIN) was set to hold our conference of nearly 200 registered attendees in Baltimore, MD in early May. All was a go until the unfortunate circumstances in the city created an immediate need to change our location. Immediate meant within the next 24 hours and WIN’s needs included a new location with a large room block and meeting space. With Joan as part of our lead team, WIN seamlessly moved the entire event to Washington DC in less than 48 hours and the WIN conference went forward with tremendous success. Without pause, this would not have happened without Joan Morrison. Joan is a true WINner.”

“I met Joan shortly after I began planning for the annual Western Literature Association conference for our 350 members. “Book a venue,” WLA said, but I knew nothing about negotiating with resorts. My first conversation with Joan put me at ease. She worked with me to understand what my goals were for my conference, and she set up my preliminary visit and tour of the venue. She negotiated every single detail of the contract—from room rates, choices, and blocks, to conference meeting spaces, to numbers of resort staff available and when—always checking to make sure we were on the same page. Because of Joan’s persistence, professionalism, and good sense, I signed an excellent contract that saved WLA considerable money. Joan was always available to talk over my anxieties and concerns and to keep things running smoothly until the end. She reviewed BEOs and audiovisual estimates, researched work that could be contracted out, and answered all of my questions. She was with me every step of the way, to the final bill, with her years of experience and her oceans of humor, and by the time I hosted the conference, she was an ally with whom I laughed as much as I worked. Joan was superb in every way!”
